Houston Public Library went live on Open Athens, a new database authentication service. Please report to the helpdesk any database that does not work-- as well as any other database issues you encounter. The authentication page looks different and asks for a user barcode and PIN. Customers may ask you to help them find their PINs. Some of your customers will have databases bookmarked. They will have to go back to the database page and get a new link. Customers will no longer having to wait to access databases after getting a new card.
